What does Swatian actually do?
Two things: we build software, and we run infrastructure for people who'd rather host their own. Android apps for developer and cloud tooling, a Linux server control panel called NexPanel, plus Nextcloud and server work on the services side.
How long have you been doing this?
Since 2016. Small operation, direct contact, no account managers in the middle.
What's your specialty?
Android apps for developer and cloud tooling, and self-hosted infrastructure. On the services side, Nextcloud and Linux servers are where most of our time goes.
Do you only work with Nextcloud?
No. Nextcloud is our specialty, but we handle most things that run on Linux. Rocket.Chat, Mattermost, SuiteCRM, custom web apps. If it runs on a server you own, there's a good chance we can help.
Which operating systems do you work with?
Ubuntu, Debian, Alma, and Rocky primarily. Docker where it makes sense.
Do you offer ongoing support or one-time jobs?
Both. Fixed-price one-time work for installs, upgrades, and migrations. Monthly maintenance is available if you want us to keep an eye on things.
Are your apps open source?
Almost all are. GitNex, LabNex, OceanNex, NexPanel, and NexNode are all open source apps.
Do the Android apps work with self-hosted servers?
Yes, that's the point. GitNex and LabNex work with your own Forgejo, Gitea, or GitLab instance. OceanNex and NexNode talk directly to your DigitalOcean or Linode account.
Where can I download them?
Each project has its own site with download links. Head to the Projects page and pick the app you're after.
How much do you charge?
Depends on the job. Consultations, Nextcloud work, server setup, and ongoing maintenance all have their own pricing, listed on the services pages. For everything else, we quote based on scope. Email us what you need and we'll give you a number.
Are prices negotiable?
For small jobs, the listed prices are the prices. For larger or long-term work, we can talk. Email us with what you have in mind.
Do prices include VAT?
No. All listed prices exclude VAT/tax, which is added on the invoice where applicable.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or card. Both payments go through Payoneer, and we send an invoice with a payment link. You don't need a Payoneer account for that. If you do have one, you can also pay directly. For most jobs, we ask for payment after delivery. For larger scopes, a deposit upfront.
What if the work takes longer than expected?
For fixed-price jobs, the price is the price. If we underestimated, that's on us. For hourly work, we'll tell you when we're approaching the estimate and check before continuing.
I have a weird request. Can we talk?
Yes. Email us with a rough idea of what you need. If it's not our thing, we'll say so.
How fast do you reply?
Usually within a business day. If it's urgent, say so in the subject line.
Do you sign NDAs?
For larger engagements, yes. For one-off consultations, usually not needed, but tell us if it is and we'll sort it.
What if something breaks after you're done?
If it's our fault, we fix it at no cost. If it's a new issue, we'll quote it like any other job.
